About Andalucia

Andalucia is Spain’s southernmost autonomous community, notable for its extensive coastline and varied geography.

The region stretches between the Mediterranean’s calmer Costa del Sol and the windier Atlantic coast of Costa de la Luz. Inland, the Sierra Nevada mountains and protected areas like the UNESCO-listed Granada Geopark offer distinct terrain and cultural sites such as cave houses near Guadix.

Sevilla stands as Andalucia’s main inland city on the Guadalquivir River, providing access to both river and coastal experiences. Seasonal timing matters: coasts peak in summer, while spring and early autumn suit inland visits better due to heat.
